What should my tire pressure be set at?
Re: What should my tire pressure be set at?
I had good luck with the pressure at 32psi in my 275/40-17's. Any less and it increased sensitivity to the truck ruts in asphalt roads, and increased the wandering the comes with wide tires. Tire wear was very even. Wheels/tires were rotated frequently. The GY GS-C's gave me over 40K miles with 32psi, and they still had 1/3 of the tread left when I took them off and sold them.

In mostly all cars, the factory recommended tire pressures are usually found somewhere in the driver door jamb. Benz has the tag located on the gas door

32 to 35 PSI is a good range for a daily driver with performance Z-rated tires.
I use 35 PSI in my 245/45/17 Z-rated tires and have no complaints with the handling or wear.
