5th Gen 2010/2011 20" wheels on 4th Gen Z28?

Has anyone ever tried to install a set of the newer series wheels and tires on an older 4th generation F. Body? Possible pictures?

Wrong bolt circle - 120mm - while the 4th Gens require 120.65mm.

Also, the 29" tire is a bit big for a 4th gen.

thats not enough to make a difference, they will bolt on with some machine work to the wheels. hub size is the big difference. the hub on the 4th gen is 2.25inch i believe, and the 5th gen has a 1.75 inch hub. so you will have to machine work done.(unless your good with a die grinder). if you use a 245/35/20 on the front and a 275/35/20 on the rear it shouldn't rub. that is the setup on my car currently.. anyway.. ill post a pic or 2 later on if i can

It's a big enough difference to have caused broken wheel studs and loose lug nuts for people who have bolted BMW 120mm wheels to their 4th Gens. Some people have no problems, others do. In any case, its adding bending stress to the studs, which are designed for shear, not bending.

check my pics.. this is what 5th gen wheels look like on a 4th gen... some people hate it(mostly people who dont see it in person) other people love it, its kinda a toss up, but i get compliments everyday.. its nice to have something different then everyone else though, thats what i like about them..
