Exclamation Rough running 1998 Camaro

I have a 1998 Camaro (3.8 liter V6) that is running really rough. I just had the catalytic conv. replaced. It was bad, but now the code is reading multiple cylinder misfire. Thinking it may be the coil pack. Is there more than one coil pack? A friend said there are 3. One for 2 plugs. Please help!! I want my baby back!!

Sorry I can't answer your question, but there is a V6 Tech section here.

I just told you in the other thread that you had to post this question on the "V6 Tech" forum. This forum is only for the LT1 V8 engines used from 93-97.

Moving to V6 Tech......

there are dozens of posts on running rough engines, here is one

unless there was some problem with the Cat you installed which would be weird, did you use a factory replacement or a universal one?

I would start with the plugs and wires and if you still have problems then go to the coil packs, I reccomend Napa wires and parts, they have lifetime warrenty. I've never had a coil probelm myself, I have 81,000 miles on a 2000.

is it just a p0300 or a p0301,p0302 or one of the other ones. check the codes. find what cylinder it is. write down code. then swap coil with another one(write down what u swapped it with, swap spark plug with different cylinder and a spark plug with a completely different cylinder. then drive the car to see which cylinder(p030something) then u will have found the bad part for yourself
