Oil problem

I have a 1994 camaro reg v6. It was running great then I took off at a stop sign hear a loud pop and the engine started running really rough. Pulled over noticed it has leaked almost all oil out except for just a tad to be shown on dip stick. I have no warning lights. Lifted the car and most of the bottom is covered in oil. Any thoughts??

Re: Oil problem

Could be any number of things. You need to inspect the engine. You need to find where the oil is coming from. Most likely there is a hole in something, like the oil pan or block. In addition to the "running really rough" was there any loud knock, clanking, etc?

Re: Oil problem

Possible oil sensor. When those blow, oil goes everywhere. (Works at oil shop)

Re: Oil problem

Doesn't matter much... "Scottylt1" came back on 12/5/14, didn't acknowledge the response, and never came back to the site again.
