I assume it's for the 96 model you have listed in your signiture. I would recommend the Taylor Spiro Pro wires. They are a great replacement and are 8mm in size which is a little larger than stock. Whatever wires you purchase, I recommend using a volt meter and ohm the wires just to be sure all are fine before installation. This will make sure you don't have any problems after installation.

 

I'll second the Taylors. I've had them for 2+ years...no problems.

Can't go wrong with stock, I changed mine after 4 1/2 yrs with stock replacements and it only cost me $35. It's been two years and no problems.

 

My personal preference are the MSD Superconductor 8.5mm wires. They have the least resistance/foot for any wire out for the 3.8L V6

Go with the MSD wires and NGK Iridium plugs. It would cost around $100 for everything, but you should be pleased and if you want more from your ignition system say better idle and acceleration and gas mileage get jegs or msd coils and msd dis-4 ignition. I think the coils are $30 something or $40 something each and the msd dis-4 is around $300.

I got a set of Taylors. They are the most fragile wires you will ever see. Yes they have some of the lowest resistance per foot out there, but they break if you look at them wrong. No joke. I know some people have had success with them here, but they are really more trouble than worth in both cost and time wasted with the wires.

If you're not doing any other kind of ignition work, there is really little reason to go with anything other than stock replacement 7.5mm wires. If it makes you feel better, pick up an inexpensive set of 8mm and call it quits. Trust me. Considering the car these wires are going on, it'll take a whole day (and lots of swearing) just to do the job. Having to find out it was all for nothing and spending X amount of time just to get them working is NOT fun. I speak from personal experience.

I wouldn't bother spending money on fancy plugs and wires for a basically stock car. The stock coil packs are very powerful as well, so upgrading those is pointless on a car that isn't heavily modded.

Heck, my '91 Lumina uses the exact same coil packs, I have 180k miles on the stockers, and they still blow the gaps on my ACDelco plugs open approx .02 inches each time I change the plugs.

No need for fancy ignition stuff on these cars, the stock ignition is plenty powerful.

Another vote for the Taylor wires here. I've got 5000 miles on my set, not a single problem yet.

 

I think for now i'm probably gonna go with a set of stock wires for now, that is until i start the modding. Thanks for the feedback guys
