few questions on TT'ing a 96 rs

Warning im still learning a lot so these questions might be dumb sorry :P ..... Anway, I think it was about 2 months ago someone mentioned in a post that it would be easier to twin turbo than just a single.

have just a few questions because I have an Automatic 96 3800 ii..
why would it be easier to twin it?

Ive also been told automatic would be better for turbo than manual is this true and why is it ?
Just trying to figure out as much as I can .. was thinking of buying 2 garretts on ebay not sure exactly which yet, and theres a place near my house that does custom turbo piping so im gonna call em up...
Also.. I know some will say I should buya v8 etc etc but I dont have the money (nor do i want to sell my car to get another one when I dont know what the problems are) for the insurance/gas and also I just love the v6 and I love turbos.. so it is only natural for me to wanna put them together

thanks again for your time

Re: few questions on TT'ing a 96 rs

To be honest i dont care what kind of motor it is if it was a naturally aspirated motor then it will be hard to turbo charge it and also very pricey considering you have to get stroger internals, lower compression, built the bottom end, get ignition stuff and the list goes on. It is definetly not cheap nor easy to turbo charge your car. Go the camarov6.com and there is a guy named radcat i think and he has the first turbo charged v6 f-bod and you might wanna ask him how much it costed him and all the stuff he had to do because i know it wasnt anywhere cheap. The question on the automatic would be better for turbos i wouldnt know but i think it would be the same iif you got a stall for the auto or other wise the manual would be better cuz you can stall the car a lot higher with the manual then you could on a auto w/ the factory stall converter. Hope the little info helped and get luck on whatever u do.
