You shouldnt even bother wasting your time or gas on a pretty stock talon. He will be ahead off of the launch but after that he will get left behind fast. At my school we have the whole dsm crew that have there 1st and 2nd gen dsm's,one night I was watching races and then they came down to the strip and being all stupid so I raced every single one of them(prolly about 5 or 6 cars total) and most of them woud get me a good car off the line but after that I would pass them like they were on the brakes I even took a couple off of the line and beat them by 4 or 5 cars before the quarter. I was all stock except for a cut-out. They had the usaul stuff but mostly stock as well. Dont even sweat it,race him and shut him up.

Please just put an end to this! putting a "know it all" punk in his place is priceless. set up a race date and take it to him.

He is in the military 5 hours away but next time he is home, I'll get him. Also I'll try to get a video for your viewing pleasure

No race yet, but I got a few extra mods over the summer. I am going to get an exact list of mods from him too.

wow....just realized this thread started in March...if all he has is a muffler and "better spark plugs" (rofl) the talon will big time. Please do video it, and see if you can get some video of the guy talkin smack before the race! this would be priceless...

Well all I know as of now is 11 lbs and full exhaust. He supposedly raced a mid 90's Corba (94-96) and beat him. Its an old thread, but he was supposed to race me and he "forgot" to call the day off and went back to Columbus.

I just would like to know my chances with my sig mods LT/CAI/GMMG.

Altough its in the bag with N2O =], which my G/F has questioned me alot about so close to Christmas.

I think they have about 14 psi of boost stock. This kid sounds like an idiot.

With all that stuff, if he's still on the stock turbo (I don't see one listed anywhere) and he has a 95 - 99 year car, you should still beat him. I don't know how fast your car is, but I think the fastest T25 turbo'd DSM is maybe in the lower 13's? But watch out, he's just a turbo away from being fast. Just a moddest 16G can put him deep into the 12's, maybe faster.

What turbo and what psi is he running? That will tell us a lot.
