You can find a "rolling parts hanger" DSM that has all the parts and runs 13s or you can find one that has mostly stock parts and runs 11s. It's all in the execution.

He wasted his money on the plugs & blowoff valve. The 3 inch exhaust is good, and the stock turbo is perfectly happy at 18psi.

I don't see any fuel tuning electronics so you should win. The car won't really wake up until they can take control of the mixture and dial it in properly.

Only 90-91 DSMs have weak axles. The 92+ are much stronger and will withstand years of 1.60 60ft times. As always, if you drive it stupidly enough, you can still manage to break it.

With a stock (stock for 1st gen cars) 14b turbo at about 19psi, a 3" turbo back exhaust, 510cc injectors, an S-AFC, and a front mount innercooler I ran 103.5 mph traps with a passenger. Just an FYI.

So basically I just need to take the Z out and if I get my *** handed to me then I just take the whoopin.

I know its not much but what If I had a LPE or SLP CAI / 1LE driveshaft/ 1.6 RR's buy then? Drop the spare and stuff? Would I have any more luck?

Most people are talking he'll run at least 13's...and he hasnt run the 1/4 but he told my friend it was a 13 sec car.

Maybe I could get a quick spray in there when no one is looking

Oh well...anymore comments?

Yea getting a cai in there will help. I would say if you are thinking about running a shot, then I would just spend that money and get a good set of headers. If you don't want to spend that kind of money then do little mods like, basically in my sig. Like airfoil, pulley, or t.b. bypass. You wont notice a big change from these little mods but together they could make a little diff. Just trying to get ideas out there.

Ah, I got it now. Probably a Garrett 20G... I have a 20G on my car, too. Hoping to go much bigger soon.

The LT headers and CAI are getting done early summer.

I am also interested in your shift kit, I am looking at the TransGo one for something fun on my A4.

A sneaky pete is only good for .1 or .2 in the 1/4 mile. If you are going to do it, then go with a bigger shot than that. Sticky tires are also a great mod for powerful rwd cars.

I have a trans-go shift kit (was in there when I bought the car and that is what I was told). It was the only mod in my car when I bought it. It is fun when you smash it and can get a nice 2nd gear screech. About if it helps or not, like I said it came with my car and I have never driven or even been in another z except mine. But I would imagine it will help more when I get my 3.73's and stall in. I already put a tranny cooler in because I have heard that the shift kits put a strain on your tranny, plus I am going to run 3.73's and the stall hopefully this summer. But if you are asking me, I love having an auto so I can just cruise around because this car is my daily driver. But the shift kit gets you excited when you are in the mood to go. IMO it makes you feel like you are going faster because the shifts are hard and crisp. I haven't looked up prices for these kits but if they are under $100 or around that I would say it is worth it. Ask around though I bet different people would give you different opinions.

Yes, I have heard they are good for the tranny from all but one person. How come you are getting gears and a stall (what kind of stall too btw) and not headers? Just wondering I have an A4 with 3.23's and was thinking of either Headers or a stall with gears for this summer. The tranny kit was going to hold me over till next year for the tranny stuff. What made you decide?
