My friend and I were out in my bird tonight. I saw a white fox body with big/little tire's on it go the other way. So I turned around and went after him. He went out to the highway which was good because I wouldn't have messed with him on the busy street we were on. I finally caught up with him and pulled up beside him. The car was really nice, it had cobra tailights and wing and I am pretty sure a cowl hood, gauge pods etc. The car was white and looked really nice except for the tail light out. I was waiting for him to go first and the guy downshifted like a ***** and hopped foward, I pulled it down into second and for about a second the stang was right next to me, I was like crap, I done picked on the wrooooong mustang. By the time i hit 5500rpms I was pulling away fast then we stopped racing soon after that. We gave a wave and the guy took the exit to go south. My friend said he thought the car was an auto, I said no, he just downshifted that fast because right after I shifted into third(that's 90 mph)he had just shifted again, I am assuming it was 4th but don't know for sure. His car definately got up, for a second at least.

Oh, then I had a semi mess with me, it was a new volvo , he would get up next to me and floor it, man that turbo spooled up, it was wicked, he did it about 5 times right in the middle of traffic doing about 55mph. I finally kicked it in the ***, I think that's what he was wanting.

Me: "Ahh I don't know, at this speed, he might pull on me"
Kevin: "Crap"
Me: "Yup, thats pretty much what were lookin at."

 

Good Death. The one thing about mustangs is you dont know if they run 10 seconds, or 15. I ran two raggedy looking 5.0's at the track and got waxed, i am talking by over 2 seconds.

Good kill on the semi lol.

I've heard some nasty, rumpity sounding stangs that barely kept up with my car when it was bone stock...then I've heard some sleeper stangs that can blow the tires off at 70mph...its sorta wierd really

I'll never forget the guy back in '94 with the jet black stang, widened wheel wells, huge *** tires with a paxton on it - he ran a 15 something

 

 

Any v8 mustang running 15's with a blower is either running on 4 cyl or has the crapiest driver on the planet.

 

The car is only part of the race...
