I ran into a Ford Lightning tonight. We were next to each other in traffic for awhile before we caught a light. Unfortunately, there were cars in the other lanes, so he pulled up behind me. As soon as the light went green I came out as hard as I could in first without spinning my tires down the road. He was right on me and began to change lanes to pass me...that's when I hit second, floored it and put a few car lenghts on him. I slowed for him to reach me and he pulled alongside. His friend gave a quick countdown, quick enough to catch me off guard. He jumped a solid car length ahead of me before I got on it. Once I hit it I quickly caught him and pout a car on him. At the next light we talked, traded compliments on each others rides, his was stock. good fun

 

What year lightning? First gen?

 

What ever the currnet ones are. Don't know exactly what year though. He said they're supposed to run 13.4 stock and that he hadn't had a chance to do anything to it yet.

 

I don't know what it takes to drop those things down there but at Ennis I saw them running low 12's. Crazy if you ask me, wathcing a damn pickup tear down like a bad out of hell.

 

chip,intake n exhuast and they should see 12's

 

chip & pulley can get 12's....if the track is good and you have a strong Lightning from the get go.
