Excuse me, not skinny tires, small tires. Wrong choice of words. If he still has the stock rims with 245s then i can see him spinning those, and even spinning bigger tires if they dont have a lot of tread. But seriously, by using common sense you should have been able to figure out what i meant. Who would put "skinnies" on a rear wheel drive car??

For some reason I doubt that is how you meant it. I think it was a little more condescending then that, but if I am wrong I profusely apologize.

<Oh, allow me to define a stupid person. One who thinks that there is a 1000lbs weight differance between a Mustang Cobra conv. and a Camaro, or one that thinks that a 98 Mustang Cobra will run in the high 14s in the 1/4.>

Or one who thinks a mustang gt can run with an LS2 with just a couple bolt ons.

The list can go on as well, but my anger pills are making me tired.

It can. Exhaust, pully, and a computer tune will allow a new GT to run with an LS2 in a GTO. The Stang is a high 13sec car, the GTO is a low 13sec car. The 3 valve motor is more receptive to mods then 2 valve motors have been in the past. Those mods will allow it to RUN with it, that doesnt mean beat it. It means that it will not totally get raped in a race anymore, instead of losing by 2 cars, it might lose by less then a car length. So actually I dont think im that stupid. Where am I wrong?

I didnt smoke the tires, just spun them enough to get a little squirley . The ground was dry, but it was in the low 30s I believe (the temperature). My car breaks loose pretty easily, and often. Hopefully when it gets a little warmer, and the addition of sfc's, and lca's will help a little.

Nah, I really wasnt at all refering to you since you were telling us a statement that was made by someone else. I was talking about him, sorry for the confusion on that end.

Good race and nice kill.

Skinner: Your answers werent wrong it was the way you addressed everyone when you came in. You made comments that were condescending. Also you quoted your edited comment as a rebuttle. You edited it after the results of the race(9:51am) to make it look like you predicted the outcome(10:34am)......why?

If you read through here alot of people not just me seemed to be rubbed the wrong way by your remarks.

I was not wrong either as they shut down at 110. I said very high speeds. When dealing with sports cars low 100s usually doesnt fall into that category.

Anyways great kill and keep up the modding.

Although I'll admit I don't know stangs, I don't believe those three mods turn a high 13 sec. car into a low 13 sec. car. To make up .7 or .8 seconds, your gonna need 70 or more hp. I don't know of too many n/a cars that can pick up that kind of hp from 3 relatively minor mods. Do you have any examples?

But with me having my convertible from when I was 17 til 19, the chicks made up for the slower time. Plus it was a 3.8 anyway, I used to race Z28's just to hear their exhaust while they pulled away like I was standing still

I'm never not buying a vert myself here WAY too much fun. I drive it in a place that rains most days too(Vancouver)... which sounds strange but when its sunny out I like being able to enjoy it
