With a good driver the upper end of the possible scale which Tim ran would be possible. I don't think however you would be foolish enough to think that everyone can drive like Evan Smith for example, but their times compared to a crappy mid west track (for example) would be better. I should know, I have run several cars in the midwest and then on the east coast with vastly different times for the same cars. Tim's car is definetly the exception to the rule for a non PI car.

I remember your smart *** comment so I thought I would update you on my wife's 2006 Mustang's performance.

Bone stock, 7000 miles on the odometer, no weight reduction, a FULL tank of 87 octane, did not touch any tire pressure and a DA of 1500 feet.

As stock as they come.

60' - 2.0610
330' - 5.7237
594' - 8.2408
660' - 8.8068@79.50
1000' - 11.3997
1320' - 13.6359@102.7

Corrected it is 13.42@104.3...give me some more practice and I could get that 60' down....in great weather with some nice 60's I can see 13.2-13.3's...BONE STOCK.

You were saying....

Yeppers. That 14.2 bone stock run was at Cecil County Dragway which I believe is at 0 elevation (i.e. sea level) and the conditions were perfect. Ahhh hell, it's a Rustang, who cares anyway?

Cecil is where I hit the 14.65 in my Mark VIII. Time would have been better if I had more than 2 runs as the track was well prepped. Time to take the Camaro up there to see what it will do.

Since the thread has been revived...lol
I ran at the Rock earlier this past month in Pinks All Out Qualifying and there was a guy there with a bone stock 07 GT with nothing , and I mean nothing done to it. Hell, he had 984 miles on the odometer...
He said he just wanted to come out with his son to have a little fun and just bought the car last week. That guy ran 3 times and first run sucked as he spun badly, but the last run I simply could not believe my eyes! he run a 13.39 @ 103.6 Now the Rock is 800' above sea level... I think.

This was just my observation and if anyone chooses to treat it like a bigfoot sighting then I understand.

DA corrected times tell me my wife's car would have ran a 13.43@104.3 mph...so a negative DA racing day, 13.2-13.3's@105 would not be out of the question.

Heck, let me practice with the car alone would be worth something...I had a hard time launching because I have raced my now sold 2003 Lightning for the last couple years...launch at 600 rpm and go...it made enough torque that it pulled itself through.

Saw him run those times.
Trick with those cars is to shift at around 5 grand. Despite the it being a SOHC it actually goes faster shifting lower than a stock cammed 5.0
Cecil is a fast fast track.
