For the LS cars you need to run the 4Vs to have a competition. The Mach1 is a drivers race a Cobra should give you fits.

Check LS1.com if you don't believe me about the Machs.

The 2v should stay with the lt1 until it is F/I.

The 99-04 GT's make in the 210-220 rwhp stock....being a manual.

I have seen a few run low 14's stock...

They run door to door w/ bolt on LT1's but they need ALOT to hit 12's. Its ashame a goodlooking car. The new 3 valves seem to react to mods well though.....btw good runs.

^ Hmm.. I raced one before and walked away from him pretty easily, and he got the jump on me from a dig. When did they change the style from the foxbody? '93?

A bolt on LT1 will walk a a stock 99-04 GT. An auto LT1 in good tune is a dead heat and a 6spd should walk away. An auto GT has no chance at all against any LT1. The new 3V's as you pointed out are much better.

Well my GT does not like to hook at all. I can only launch at 900rpms slipping the clutch and I still constantly hit 13.9s at 101.48-69. My mph is up 1 since the last time I went it was very hot.

If these numbers seem far fetched feel free to meet up with me anytime in Rochester NY. I can attest to the motor being internally stock as I put the motor in myself.

There was another 2000 GT at ESTA drag strip running with me that was running 14.3@97 consistently. He has a K&N FIPK and a SLP LM1. We were running heads up bracket and he would be next to me until 3rd gear and I would walk him HARD through the traps.

Alot of the manuals hit 230rwhp stock but that is still a pretty low number for what it should be.

As for the 12s being hard, it isn't that hard. With cams, gears and tires your there ALL day. If anyone says otherwise they just can't drive.

It kinda dose take a lot of cash and time if you do the work your self to get a gt into the 12s without power adders. On the 4.6 4v mustangs its over $1000 just for the cams, so with the cash it takes to do a cam on that car you can do a heads and cam on a lt1 and you might even have some extra cash.

Stock...as in no mods...you might as well say your motor is stock, but pay no attention to the 125 hp nitrous kit?

Stock means no mods...

What type of power should they be hitting...and I have seen dozens of 99-04 GT's dyno and I never saw any in the 220 range stock.

You must have misunderstood me and the way i wrote it I would have too , I meant mod for mod bolt on wise there pretty even...Generally both run low 13's w/ bolt ons.

If you think you need cams to hit 12s with any of the 4Vs you are mistaken. DRs, & gears can do that.

As for a 2V, cams are a decent investment but alot of bolt-on guys have hit 12s.

If putting on tires or bolt-ons is time consuming then I guess you are in the wrong hobby, that stuff takes a hour or two at most.

Canton, what are you talking about? I never said that my car was stock just that the engine was INTERNALLY stock. I have a very short list of bolt-ons only of which two give any kind of power. If all the internet lore is correct I have gained nearly .3-.6 tenths and 4.5mph over a stock GT. I am by no means a "great driver" and will be the first to admit it. I will honestly say someone that could drive the hell out of my car could easily hit a 13.6 with the same weather conditions. This is due to the fact that at ESTA safety park I was hitting 13.9s @101.48+

As for nitrous.......whered that come from. If I had nitrous I would be expecting at least a 12.9 to 13.0.
