What would be more benificial?

Should I go with SFC's, torque arm, or LCA's next? I am looking to get better traction off the line and I plan on doing all of the above mentioned but that will be over the next few years. I also plan on new shocks and springs among a few other goodies along the way. I also know that tires are a good way to get traction but I cant afford DR's ever year as Im still in college. Thanks for any input.

I saw that you're ruling out tires but that's the biggest influence on traction. Tubular/boxed LCAs help to eliminate wheel hop; SFC stiffen the chassis but probably wouldn't show up in better 1/4 times until you're pushing high HP. There's some fast cars running stock torque arms too.

What is your budget like? SFCs and LCAs will run in the 100.00-200.00 range where as the torque arm will run more so in the 350.00-450.00 range. Frankly though, you can do all of the suspensions mods. in the world but they will be worth little gain if they are not backed up by a good set of tires.

Re: What would be more benificial?

PHB is because I got a deal on it used from a guy here in SA... I figured it was worth the investment even if it wasnt needed at the time, just thinking ahead. That and Im considering lowering the car as well, as its adjustable.

As for tires, I really would like a set of Nitto's but like I said that will wait untill my senior year of college or untill I can pick up a set for cheap from someone here in SA. I have Yoko 420's on the back right now and their brand new. Any suggestions on tires (more effective than yoko's but cheaper than nitto's) since I may end up replacing the two fronts and rotating them next year?

Thanks again.

By far the best improvement I made to my car was the SS wheels with 275/45-17 rubber. The car wasn't even a shadow of it's former self. After that I would say my SFCs were the next best. Get a good set of triangulated ones. While mine didn't make a huge handling difference. They did tighten up the car. Several rattles went away, and they give me a handy place to jack up the entire side of the car.

For me a good set of SFCs are required as a base for a good suspension.

You can get a pair of drag radials for less than $400 (I think I saw them listed on thunderracing for $169 each? ). If you have traction problems, there's no "quick fix" from a suspension part ... get tires. You'll also get way more consistancy with good tires. SFC's are a good idea though at some point (stiffen up the car a little).

yea, a quick fix wasnt what I was looking for... I was just looking at what would be better to go with first. I know tires are important for traction but I am trying to plan ahead to help with the 500 plus hp I plan on making in the next four years. I appreciate the help!

I would go with the LCAs if I had to pick one of the three to go with first.

Texas section of LS2.com. Someone was selling LCA, PHB, LCA relo brackets all for $150. Keep your eyes and ears open and buy used cheap.

I think subframes are a must on these cars, it won't help you with traction, but you are going to be limited by your tires anyway, so why not go with Subframes you will love the way it feels in a turn afterwards. Definately a SOTP difference in the way it handles.
