Spohn torque arm and removing X-brace on a vert alternative..pics

When I installed the Spohn torque arm which relocates the mounting point to the tunnel brace, I was not sure I wanted to remove the extra X-bracing that is on the convertible...I wanted to use this arm so that it would free up some room under the tailshaft for dual exhaust routing as well as the added traction benefits and removing any stress from the stock tranny tailshaft mounting point.
So what I ended up doing this w/e was fabricating an "X"-brace made from the thickest and widest flat stock I could find at Lowes. I used 2.5" x 3/8" and welded it up to the Spohn tunnel brace and also welded some tabs on the tranny brace so it would have a lower mounting point to give me more room to get a 3" exhaust pipe thru the opening (over the brace and under the tail shaft). I also bowed the X-brace down for added room.
It's bolted to the tranny support/brace so it can be easily removed if needed, but is welded to the tunnel brace and at the intersection of the "X".
Consequently, it seems to have reduced the road/drive train noise coming up from the floorboard from the torque arm.
Here's some pics of the brace for those whom may be interested.

This one gives you a sense of how much clearance there is for the exhaust to cross thru it:

And the tabs added to the tranny support:

I think if you tried to use the factory X-brace along with the Spohn tunnel brace, you would have to hack it up quit a bit and would probably not be near as strong.
