I had an immensely hard time removing almost every nut, bolt and fastener while replacing lower control arm on my girlfriend's 2000 dodge stratus. It ended up taking me 3½ hours just to get out the control arm. I ended up getting it off with a combination of penetrating oil, nut removal sockets and a 3 foot cheater bar. Also cleaning off all the gunk helped with PO getting in where needed.
