lower A arm help

ok I am changing out my K member, on my 96 Formula, I have everything un-bolted. but I cannot remove the rear bolt on the lower A arm. I have removed the nut from the bottom, but just cannot get the bolt out. is there a certain way to remove it??? it looks like you just remove the nut and pull the bolt up. I have hit it with a hammer and still nothing. any info would be great! thanks in advance

update: I have removed the whole thing now, K member and the lower A arm. my lower A arm is still bolted to the factory K member. and I still cant get the bolt out??? I just dont get it. it must be seized in there or something. I cant afford to get new A arms right now so I need to get this bolt out.

Yes, its supposed to slip out, but it gets crusty between it and the bushing inner sleeve. Try this: lightly heat the bolt with a propane torch, find a birthday candle and drip/run melted wax down the shaft of the bolt. That'll loosen it up.

ok thanks. I just talked to a buddy of mine and he said the same thing that they get rusted up and seize together, so he said to try to heat up the bolt too. thanks for the help!

PB blaster works great too, spray the hell out of it, let it sit, then smack it with a hammer.

what did you use pb blaster or heat? I'll need to replace my lower ball joint and I may just remove the lower a-arm and have a shop press the ball joint out and in.

a combination of both. soaked them with pb blaster, and then heated them up. I only have a little propane torch, but it worked!
