It Keeps Rubbing
Anyone have rubbing issues with 315's and no bump stops on hard cornering? If you have 315's, grand sport offset and no bump stops please let me know. Does anyone know if you can bang the outer fender well with out damaging the front facia of the car? We have beat the hell out of the inner fenders and the rubbing has pretty much stopeed with one person in the car. With two people there is still rubbing especiall on hard corners!

Both sides or only one? One side would indicate the body needs to be recentered over the axle, using an adjustable panhard rod. Both sides may indicate the panhard rod bushings are too soft, or the rod is deflecting excessively.
Or weak shocks and springs, coupled with soft sway bar bushings could be allowing excessive body roll, made worse by the complete removal of the bump stops. You only need to remove the edge of the bracket, not the complete stop.
You can "roll" the fender lip up so it doesn't stick straight out toward the sidewall of the tire. There are tools made specifically for fender rolling, or you can use a baseball bat, wedged between the tire and the lip. The biggest danger of damage is cracking the paint when the metal bends. If you run a groove at the edge of the bend point with a razor blade, it will prevent the cracking from extending to the outside of the lip. It would be a good idea to touch up the lip with some matching paint after you finished rolling it.

rubb a rub rub
All of my parts have spherical bearings on them. They are noisy as hell but they do a hell of a job in the handling department. We have centered the rear axle with the pan hard rod a couple times now. I konw its not the shocks becasue LG runs the same ones but with a softer spring rate on the rears. My fenders lips have been clipped and rolled up already, that is not where they are rubbing. The are actually hitting on the outer inner wheel well. the are not hitting the outer fender facia. When the car is under full load there is nothing there stoppig its travel besides the inner fender. Has anyone out there cut out the inner fenders so thy are almost at a 90 degree angle. Has anyone had the rear of their cars fenders flared? How much of an effect do you think the sway bars would have on the back end of the car? I already have to replace my Global West Rear LCA's because you cannot replace the beargins when they go out. Anyone have ADJ UMI parts?
