ABS wiring

Hello,
I have a 1997 WS6 trans am that I purchased a few months ago that I am trying to get in better shape. I'm trying to get rid of all the check engine lights, one of which is the ABS light.
I found on my passenger side the wheel sensor is not connected, which is probably my problem, or at least part of it. The previous owner put some BBK headers on the car (stupid because now it doesn't pass smog), and I think it burned part the wire harness that I believe connects to the wheel sensor. He also disabled the AC "to make the car faster," but now I can't tell what cables go to what.

I can see the other end of wheel sensor with the 2 wire connector in the wheel well, and I have a partially burned wire in the engine bay that has the same connector, but it doesn't seem long enough.
Does the AC system connect with any of the same connector as the wheel sensor?
Does anyone have any pictures of where the ABS wheel sensor part of the harness normally is routed within the passenger side of the engine bay??

Re: ABS wiring

Free download of 1996 Factory Service Manual (99% of 1997 is identical), courtesy of GaryDoug:

The ABS system is in Volume ! of 2, Part 1 of 2 - Section 5E1 (ABS only) or 5E2 (ABS+TCS).

If you only have ABS, no traction control (TCS or ASR), the wiring diagram for the right front (passenger side) wheel sensor is on page 5E1-25. It shows that there is a 2-wire (one tan, one dark green) circuit that starts at the EBCM (ABS computer), passes through the fire wall, and terminates at connector C130. Then there is the 2-wire (one black, one white) "ABS jumper harness" that connects to C130 and connects to the right front wheel speed sensor.

Page 5E-175 shows the routing of the left side ABS jumper harness,, and indicates that the right hand is similar.

Page 5E1-124 starts the diagnostics and troubleshooting for the right front wheel speed sensor circuit,

There aee no other devices spliced into the circuit from the EBCM to the wheel sensor, so there should not be anything shared with the A/C system. However, some wires may be bundled together in a common corrugated conduit where they pass through the engine compartment.

I've attached a harness wiring diagram from the 1996 service manual that should be the same as 1997. As for the AC wiring, I could not find a very detail illustration showing the route it runs, but it will give you an idea of where to look.
