That list isnt really going to mean anything when it comes time for another batch (if that happens).... people will change their minds, or forget, or whatever. It's simply going to be just like this thread was.. first 33 people to reply to that thread who want a set will get one...

IT will not be fair if that is done....

I guess the members will be contacted or keep track of this thread.... if by any means I do not check camaroz28.com in one day or 1/2 a day and the list gets filled up, I never got the break of having the brackets... anyways.. I already have my set and I want another set for a new camaro im buying.

Thanks for your input, I didn't know you spoke for Bob or SS.

Nice one Steve

5.0this, if you would kindly refer to page 14 of this thread and check Speeds post. They know this list is here. Everyone who is on that list knows about these brackets and are watching like a hawk to see if this happens.

Here's the latest list for a second batch... no rush Bob, we know you're tapped out from the first set. Sounds like a real PITA to get everything co-ordinated like this. When you do have some time off and wanta get things rolling, just let me know... my PayPal's just waiting to go.

Second Batch Order (possibily June? ):
...
29) FlatIronsZ
30) grn94formula
31) 350350
32) TP121
33) SS#2420
OK, now I'm really confused... being number 31 on the list doesn't mean that I'm guaranteed one of the first 33 chances to purchase a set???

I'll toss out my earlier proposition... I'll pay in advance and let Bob sit on my cash as long as he wants to and happily take a refund should he decide not to make more sets. I'm that serious, I'm not backing out.

Somebody just tell me who to pay and I'll send PayPal, Credit Card, Cash, Check, MO, Dancing Hula Girls, Carrier Pigeon, or whatever I need to do to insure that I don't get bumped from the list. I get email updates from this post, and I check the post once a day... Is that enough?

I'm also willing to challenge the other 32 people on the list to a caged death match if it goes that far. I'm not really a violent person, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do, right? This is a major brake upgrade we're talking about here, not an oil change or a car wash!!!

May the best man win...

You think I went too far with the 'Caged Death Match Challenge"???

I once had a guy say to me, "I'm glad to see you have your priorities straight. Willing to sell a kidney to upgrade your motor. That's admirable."

My Mama would be soooo proud!

What's wrong with that? Isn't that why God gave us 2?

Do the Z06 pads make that much difference or is it just a matter of the low dust that makes the Durastop Ceramics a better buy?

Any help would be appreciated.

It really doesn’t matter how much HP your engine has, if you will be stopping from legal street speeds in normal conditions, then the ceramic pads make good sense. They will not have the “bite” or feel of a good carbon metallic pad because they will have a lower coefficient of friction than a serious performance pad. But, unless you overheat them with back-to-back-to-back high speed stops or high speed downhill driving, Durastop ceramics will stop the car just as quickly. And, they will last much longer and dust much less than ZO6 pads. Rotors will wear quicker with ceramics, but the rotors are cheaper to replace than good pads.

If anyone plans to swap pads for track use, I would suggest that you swap rotors also if you use ceramic pads on the street. Ceramic pads will remove the carbon transfer film from the rotors that is put there by carbon/metallic or carbon\Kevlar pads. I don’t know how well the ceramic pads would work until they had cut through the carbon layer, and then the next time you put the carbon pads on for the track, you would need to season the rotors again to re-establish the carbon layer.

I recommend the ZO6 pads because they are a great compromise pad. They "feel" great, stop great and are quiet on the street, but will still take a good amount of track abuse or mountainous downhill driving without fading, or overheating the rotors. Serious road racers often use ZO6 pads for street and autoX, and then swap in VERY high-temp track pads for their road course work. In most cases, they can use the same set of rotors for both pad types.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate the info. You are an inspiration to us all. I reckon I have a decision to make.......longer lasting or more "feel".........what a prediciment LOL

Thanks again for making the brackets Bob, they are phenomenal and I cannot wait to get them installed.

Well bob...

I want to do the stop force rotors.. as teh oem one, even if they are a totally inexpensive replacement, they do not widstand a 150-60-150-60 w/o fading or heating up.

They were a TOTALLY HUGE IMProvement over my lt1 worn rotors that i had to TOTALLY STEP ON IT to brake SOMETHING.

I dont. But I'm sure there will be folks changing their minds between now and then, or the usual group of stragglers to get their money in. I'm not worried at all, I've already had my brackets and brakes on the car for months

Thumbs up

Hi Everyone,
I've just emailed everybody (except 1) on the list to confirm interest. I'll update the list if there are any changes. I've also added everyone to my Buddy list to keep track of what's up.

350350 You need to post your email address, or send it to me if you want to get a confirmation email.

No I don't have any word from Bob or Speed Specialty on the second batch, but I'd like to get this as streamlined as possible to make it easy on them.

My email address is 350@350350.com , sorry about that! Please keep me informed. I'm still ready to send payment at any given moment. Still willing to send cash delivered by Dancing Hula Girls as well, although some members thought I went a bit too far with the 'Caged Death Match Challenge', so I'm backing down on that one.
