Paging Predatorbird or anyone who works for Universal...

IS the Mummy Returns Ride open yet?

They keep saying SPring 2004, we went around March 18th, and it still wasn't open.

Just wondered since summer is already coming if its open yet. Or if you guys have any word.

We rode it Wednesday afternoon. I walked by one of the signs which tells how long each of the lines are at the major rides in the park later, and it said 0 minutes. Not sure why.

Not bad

the grand opening isn't until may, but they're doing special previews of it each day. it isn't open all day, but all the people i've talked to have been on it. it still has some "bugs" in the ride so they test it to make sure its running good.

The lines were horrible mid-week. The worst I've ever seen them in the 5-6 times I've been there in the last year. Every ride had a wait of 100+ minutes. The Express Plus passes were gone by Noon, and many of the regular Express terminals were done by 2PM.

i sell the express plus tickets at my hotel, however they are $30 extra per person. from what i hear its worth it when the lines are 2 hours long and you only do about 3 or 4 rides before you get fed up and go home.

So how does it work if you have season passes? I just pay the extra $30? They should offer a season pass with the Express Plus included!

no matter what you have to pay for them, even if you have annual passes. right now they are $30, but the price is going to drop in may when it slows down. but come summer time expect it to be at least $30 again.

they have 3 different express passes: they have the regular express passes inside the park where you can put your ticket in and it picks a time for you to come back. those are free.

the express plus you have to pay for them (prices vary depending on season) and they are good for each ride one time and you can go to the rides anytime you want to, you don't have to come at a certain time.

then you have the express passes you get for staying at the onsite hotels. thoses people can skip the lines all day and never wait in the regular lines. of course thats what you should get for paying as much as you do for the hotel rooms.
