Need parts help

Looking for a non electric water pump Ive been told the original GM waterpump is the best where can i find that? or which is the most reliable water pump i can find? also my fans have stopped working so i have to turn them on manually with a switch is that a good idea?

GM part # 12527741 is still available, but fairly expensive. Might want to look for a rebuilt.

Why/when did the fans stop working? Have you scanned for PCM codes - there are two codes for the fan control relays? Do they turn on when you turn on the AC? Is the coolant getting hot enough for the PCM to turn them on - coolant has to reach 226°F to turn on both fans at low speed, 235°F for both fans at high speed? Have you verified 12 volt power at the relays? The power for the load side of the relays is unswitched 12 volts from a fusible link at the red plastic “+” terminal box near the battery.
