What all needs to be done for 335/30's not to rub ?

I've decided to go with Nitto NT555R 335/30's on my OE Wheels C6 Z06 18 X 10.5 deep dish 56mm back wheels. This is a straight line non DD car that will see no harsh cornering. To make these work out back what all will be involved in making them tuck under the back fenders w/o rubbing issues ?

Also when these are made to fit right, what front tire size will look right with them for the front's for OE Wheels C6 Z06 in a 18 X 8.5 46mm ?

Thanks!

Mike

Nitto recommends at least an 11.5" wide wheel for the 335/30-18 555R. Preferred width is 12.0"

I think I might have found my answer, the first post in this link said he used 5/16" spacers for the 335/30's. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/wheels...-images-4.html

I'm going to try that and hope everything works out back. Now I just need to know if a 305/35 or 265/35 or is another size better for the front 18 X 8.5 46mm wheels that would work and look the best with the 335/30's out back. What do you guys think ?

A 265/35-18 tire is smaller in diameter than the stock tires, and will increase the tire to fender gap. They also should not be mounted on a wheel less than 9.0" wide. I don't see any 305/35's on Tire Rack, but they definitely should no be put on an 8.5" wheel. But then you apparently don't give the tire engineers and designers much credability.

Using a 5/16" spacer in the back will move the inner sidewall away from the inner fender, but it will also move the outer sidewall outside the body. You're looking at a 13.1" section width. I've got a tire with a 12.4" section width, and its just barely under the fender.

I might just take a hammer to the inside of the fender well first to see if I can fit w/o using the spacer. I'm going to roll my finders also, maybe doing all that first will let everything work. Still don't know what tire to put on the front though. That's all that's left to figure out..

Since a 335/30-18 tire specs out to a 25.91" circumference (check with tire mfr. to get actual circ.) the closest size tire that would match would be a 255/40-18. This tire would be just over 0.1" taller than the rear (26.03")

i had z06 wheels on my car with 305s and i have no idea what offset. i took them off my girlfriend's dad's z06 and put them on my car. I had to beat the living crap out of the inner fenderwell to get them on and when i went around corners they rubbed on the inside. And thats at stock ride height
