Summit Universal X-pipe system on LT's (pics and video)

Here is a good bolton solution for all you Jethot LT guys. I am installing the Summit univeral x-pipe "system" right now and it fits like it was made for it. No cutting at all. I also have two 16" Dynomax bullet muffers and a pair of bolt-on hangers from O-Relley auto parts that attached through the rear seat belt holes(just used longer screws).

I also am using a pair of 14" turndowns that slip-on after the muffers(not in pics). I ordered those from JEGS btw. Anyway, the whole setup cost me right at $200 shipped. Just passing it along.

That's exactly what I planned on doing. How loud is it. It's gonna be on my daily driver but I'm pretty tolerable about things.

That's a very cool setup.

I like the beer and the fire extinguisher in the third pic. At least if you get drunk and burn something by mistake, you're prepared.

Hmm...thats a pretty nice system you got there. Do you have the part #'s? How does it sound? Is it really loud or is it a smooth sound because right now i already have a E-cutout and a hooker catback so i'm trying to figure out if it will sound a lot better then what i got now.

Looks extremely clean. Will it work with Hooker LT's also? Someone has to know if they are basically the same. Also what is this on? Obviously an LT1. But I mean heads/cam, stroker? And maybe you could get a sound clip. Thanks a lot

Nice. Do you happen to have the Summit part number for the x pipe kit?

I did a quick search for it at www.summitracing.com but couldn't find it.

I know the x-pipe is in the catalog, not sure about online, though.

LOL; didnt notice that in the pic.

SUM-642125 $89.95

Sound is good but not like the really deep rumble of my old Borla with stock manifolds. The pre bent pipes placed the mufflers right were they needed to be.
This is the 2.5" system btw. I can post a video if any one can recommend a free host.

that looks great. I would love to hear a sound clip of some WOT runs and nutral revs, and also some more pics of under the car.

Did you have any problems with clearence at all?

Very nice setup, I'm thinking of switching to Jet Hot LT's down the road and that looks really good. I've seen some 'custom' y-pipes and true dual setups that I really don't care for, some end up looking like a hack job when they dont use a premade y or x connector. I like how those pipes are all mandrel bent and slip fit, very clean looking. If it were mine I would probably get it welded up when it's all done and fit's right then get rid of the clamps.
