So... i've got a dent...

I have a dent on the rear driver side quarterpanel... It is right where the door and the quarter panel meet... the door isn't affected whatsoever... but right where it meets the edge is dented in... it's not super significant... but what do you think a body shop would charge for something like this? Do they need to take it off and hammer it out or do I need to buy a whole new 1/4 panel?

Thanks -earl

They can do alot with dents these days, but it's a matter of getting the tools in there. The quarter is welded on, so if it comes off you're getting into some big $$. A rear quarter total replacement from an insurance perspective is about a $2500 job, so I'd say that's definitely your upper limit without seeing the dent.

Like I said... it's right where the door and quarter panel meet... its basically dinged in right at the edge of the quarter panel.

Re: So... i've got a dent...

its hard to tell from the pic but at my body shop we have a stud gun where we weld a small stud to the dent in several locations then have a slide hammer of sort that we use to pull the studs and once the dent is semi straight we start with the bondo. dont have any idea about a price but look to spend several hundred because good body men are not cheap.
