I have decided!
I have decided!
SO... I was thinking of buying another 3rd gen for around 7 grand & spilling my money on it after selling my rice mobile...
BUT... I have decided to sell my Prelude, take whatever I get from it & eventually get a 67 & restore it. That's it.. my mind is set.
There is no real point to this thread I honestly don't know why I posted it...
Oh wait... yes, I remeber now. I just wanted to let you all know so incase you know of / heard of a 67 (I want no other year) camaro for sale in need of some to allot of work I'd like to take a look at it. If you guys see anything for 7 to 10 grand (in running, just barely, condition would be great) I'd be very interested.
Also - if you know anyone looking for a Potential rice mobile let me know... I'm looking to sell my Prelude.
1999 Honda Prelude
Full Body Kit
Fart-Can Exhaust (Actually decently deep sounding - no tin)
Short Ram Intake
Indigo Gauges
Pearl White
Stereo (I'm not selling my stereo but I'll throw something in there if they like - deck, amp, subs)
ummm.. can't think of anything else right now...

How much do you think that you'll be spending on restoring this '67 you're looking for. Do a search on the forum and see what others who have decide to do the same thing have come across. I'm sure others will jump in and let you know what you'r getting into.
You will be looking at a huge money pit.
After it's all said and done you'll have a pretty cool ride.
My advice would be to just buy one that's nearly done and make the final finishing touches yourself.
Good Luck!

hmmm... I don't know why but the 3rd & 1st gen Camaro's seem to the only ones that "do it for me"... not too sure as to why, but I've always dreamed of a 1st gen & I've pretty much decided to go for it.
I'll obviously have another car for daily driving but I want to have my 67 & work on it until it's ready to rock & roll...

Would the 1st gen F-body have to be a Camaro? You can get Firebirds for cheaper, with 400 c.i.d engines in 'em, too

If you buy an IROC, buy a black convertible, drop in an L98 and 19" Chrome IROC wheels

The prelude was a "spur of the moment" sort of thing (oh yes, btw - never buy a car in the spur of the moment... bad idea) Salesmen can be very convincing
Anyhow... I've always wanted a 67 but never had the nads to actually go for it, I kept thinking to myself, too much money, time, effort, I won't be able to drive it, bla bla bla... Now I've finally decided that I don't give a crap! Let it take as long as it takes & cost as much as it costs, if I keep putting it off then I'll never have one!
If you can do most of the work yourself I say go for it. A 67 camaro would be an excellent investment if bought and fixed up for the right price. Even a 68 or 69 would be nice too. Try to find a rare RS or SS Z28. Good luck, I'd want matching numbers for sure.
I used to have a 1st gen RS Z28 but it dissappaered one day.
I really miss that car but not as much now with my last of the breed.
