And speaking of Rice...
WRX's... of course... these I think about alot actually... I love those!!
Or perhaps a used Boxter S?
But 4 seats would be much better then just a 2 seater...
I'll have to look into the ford focus's... I've actually had a few people mention those in this catagory..
One question with the WRX's, or all AWD's vehicles for that matter, how prone are the AWD systems to break downs? And no doubt it costs an arm and a leg for repairs on that level of technology?
Thx guys,
Jeff

flooding in Garbage 7's is caused by a leaky injector I think, or something to do with fuel shut off after its off, there is a place in burnaby that can fix that for you, they put in an automatic fuel shut off switch that shuts off fuel while the car is off & shuts off fuel (positive shut off) when the car is being turned on for a second or 2 for the car to start, once the rpm rises the fuel shut off switch lets fuel flow as regular
ps. Garbage 7's.

I drove one of those (PT Cruiser) for the 2 weeks I was home in newfoundland this summer... I put liek 2500 km's on one and I wasn't that impressed at all...
I'm sure the turbo will help, but its a PIG.... Its friggin huge, and the gas mileage utterly sucked!! Mind you, NF has tons of big *** hills and that puny motor didn't really like trying to stay W 120-130 going up over them
Lots of room inside tho!
How about the Neon with the turbo?
Or the Tiberon? I really like the new shape of those!

Coming from an import guy...
Personally I'd probably go for the Celica GT or GTS. The Acura RSX Type S is fast and (for a Honda) relatively torquey, but it doesn't have the power to weight ratio and it's not really a blast to drive. It feels like a luxury car; the interior appears VERY upscale, everything's comfortable, the cabin is almost silent - you can barely hear the engine unless you stomp on it. I seriously started the car, then had to check the tach to see if it was running.
The Celica GT or GTS doesn't have as nice an interior, in my opinion, and the engine is less torquey. Don't get me wrong, it's still got enough grunt to fool you into thinking it's fast, but the RSX Type S will beat it in a straight line. However, the Celica GT/GTS will probably whup the RSX around corners. It's got almost neutral handling balance and is surprisingly tailhappy for a FWD car. I've ridden in a Celica GT running on R-compounds at autocross and let me tell you, it was a hell of a ride. The car feels VERY nimble, responsive, and quick. It feels light on its feet, while the RSX feels more numbed out. But the RSX has that engine advantage - the GTS makes a lot of peak power, but at the expense of low-end power. It's ALL top end on that car.
But that's subjective; I haven't driven a Celica GT/GTS. Hell, just get her to test drive each car and then see which she likes better
