And speaking of Rice...

My girlfriend is looking to get a car some what soon... And she reallly likes the new Celica's...

Soooo, if you guys could get a car for your better half, what would you get...

and no, not a F-Body... something that gets good gas mileage, and yes, an import... Not only for good gas mileage, but either front wheel drive, or AWD... No Rearwheel drive, and not tons of power... Eventually i'll put a turbo kit on it anyways I'm not looking for gobs of power, but something that run say mid to low 13 second 1/4's after the turbo and mods... That'll be plenty fast for her, and at least slightly quick for when I do drive it

Celica GTS
RSX-S
Corolla-S
etc...

I'd LOVE to pick up a used S4... so thats an option as well...

And why...

2003 VW GTI 1.8T (or VR6) with the new 6speed.
Very nice cars..........but Jim still needs to sell his and buy a F-Body.

The Focus is a pretty good car for that. *ducks the Ford haters* But really, it is fairly cheap and economical to run, and there is lots of parts for it out already. you could even step up with the SVT version and start with 170hp.

I don't mind those Protoge wagons. I wonder how many car parts you could stick in the back... I imaging the rear seats fold down. There is also the Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe.

Actually... I would try to convince my gf to get a truck. She really likes Dakotas so I don't think she would need much convincing.

it just so happens that i got an 88 rx-7 for sale its rear wheel drive but dont worry, its not that fast lol, 4000.00 obo and a turbo would rock on it

no offence to you 79 .. but RX7's are nothing short of a nightmare . i had a 87 turboII and i was about to drive it down a cliff, but it was flooded and i couldnt

I was in your situation once too. I told her you have the choice of a Chevy Malibu or a Chevy Malibu. She chose the Chevy Malibu. 4drs, lots of power, seats fold down, good gas, fwd, and a 2003 full load (leather, ac, etc) $24,300 and full warranty. Even I like driving it!!!! and there is lots you can do to it. GMHighttech is doing up an alero with the same motor

I like the Mazda 6 as well, nice car. There is also the Sentra SER V-Spec or whatever. Spoiler, 17's stock, nice car. The Celica and RSX are not bad either.

flooding in Garbage 7's is caused by a leaky injector I think, or something to do with fuel shut off after its off, there is a place in burnaby that can fix that for you, they put in an automatic fuel shut off switch that shuts off fuel while the car is off & shuts off fuel (positive shut off) when the car is being turned on for a second or 2 for the car to start, once the rpm rises the fuel shut off switch lets fuel flow as regular
