Those cars are F'n expensive to rent, maybe I wouldn't get my moneys worth out of the tires. If I wanna drive one of those cars I'll go for a free test drive off the lot.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did with my buddies 1999 Ferrari 355 F1 Spyder, and my other buddies 2002 500 hp 911 Twin turbo AWD. Two unreal rides. I thought I'd try a Z06 out for a "test drive" and why not on the Las Vegas strip , as I am seriously considering one.

Damn Ry!! Your one lucky bastard!! Are you seriously thinking of selling the T/A?
Yep, if I get a good offer it's gone, I'm fed up with it.

Man you are a lucky man, I'll trade you my T/A in an instant for your Z06.

Just wait one year before you part it out....I want that blower!!!

It's true how awsome those Z06's are. I've driven a couple and they make me cry every time about how crude my car is. Oh well, at least I won't have $1500/month payments.

How about this.
My buddy has a 2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello. V12, 496 hp, 435 (or so) tq. Six speed, 18 inch wheels, lots of rubber to the road, $380,000.00.
I've driven it a few times and get this, he actually likes it when his friends beat on the car! I was dropping the clutch at 4500 with the traction control off, hazing the tires, and then shifting at 7500 rpm in downtown Vancouver. It was f***ing AMAZING. It is sooooooo fast, so solid, and it handles like it is absolutely ON RAILS. I did a powerslide at 7500 rpm for half a block on Homer St. from Pacific. Then i ran it up to about 160k on 4th ave, which took about 4 seconds to get there!(or so it seemed)
I sat in the car on Granville in front of 7-11 so he could grab some smokes. A whole group of guys gathered to look, telling my buddy that his friend with the Ferrari was so lucky to have such a nice car. I heard them and laughed, since were saying it to him. Lucky me just to drive it! Then i dropped the clutch and roasted the tires some more as i pulled away just for fun!

I'm sure the Z06 is nice, but that Ferrari is just amazing! (just slightly pricey though!)

Great story, and nice friend!!! I love all Ferrari's, they are the absolute best cars in the world (in my opinion)

I like when guys like that are cool, and like to share the wealth. I know I will be like that one day when I have a ride like that.

I never got to beat on my buddies Ferrari 355 (it's harder to roast the tires with the F1 shifter) but I was beating on the Porsche pretty good. That thing moves.

Hey Rybar, i was flipping through your pics just now. You're sure stocked with the toys eh? Nice. Must have been fun to cruise in Vegas with the Z06. How fast did you get it going? I can't believe that it was as fast as your blown TA though...

Toys are fun, especially full sized ones!

I didn't get the Z06 going all that fast, but acceleration is very quick. My T/A just roasts the tires, it's 0-60 times are horrible. But with traction I would say it would be faster than a Z06. The Z06 would beat my T/A for sure on the the street though.

Z06=350rwhp stock
Rybar's T/A=416rwhp blown

With some Nitto's you would kill the z06....not in the corners though.

You are forgetting 2 key factors:

Z06 raceweight: 3250lbs
T/A raceweight with blower and 12-bolt: 3700lbs

Also, the Z06 has a nice flat TQ curve, whereas a blown LT1 is very peaky.

I think it would be a close race, as Z06s are known to trap in the 116-117 mph range bone stock.

stupid Z06's....just let me take you guys for a ride in my car. My 4.30's and Nittos should provide a pretty good time. That and I can save the $1500/month payment to buy a nice boat, Truck, Harley etc etc....
