never trust local words, every shop that ever promised anyone anything is always been different, & what can you say in the end? You'll pay for it, they'll make the crap & you'll regret it. Thats how I see it.
That is very true in a lot of the cases around here.......although some people have gotten great service locally. I guess it depends on what you get done.

Matt= What experience have you EVER had with a local shop? (one of Pro Gas's level)
You knock alot of things without substantial evidence for your claims.

Man if I told you my life story you'd go crazy, I'd rather not, but I'll tell you this, when I had my RX7, I've been ripped off atleast a dozen times, my parents thought I was stupid for beliving every shop I went to, its never been my way, than I see people like Shawn & Roy & it reminds me of my bad days, Roy is been ripped off a million times, everytime his mechanic tells him he'll do some nice custom work, its always been a hack job, call me personaly if you want the whole story of my life & Roy if you want his, simple, never ever trust anyone, always ask to see the work they did before, tell the guy to make the product & than you'll pay for it if its good, no offence but if they've never done it before, chances are it'll be ugly.

or, you can know the people doing the work for you, and trust them. i personally try not to go to new places and get new people to do stuff for me, i either do it myself (most of the time) or get someone trusted to do it.

believe it or not, theres alot of good shops and skilled people locally. you just got to root them out and find the best places and people

Just curious if they are so good why do they need a part to copy if they have a car?

Not sure on pro gas' rep I do know on CHIEF CHASSIS and I would never go there again or recomend them to anyone.

He did RashPaul's car too....among others

Local shops are fine as long as you do your research...true, there are better ones in the states, but much cheaper north of the boarder

Most of the work that I've seen come from Pro Gas has been top notch. Every shop has black sheep of course.

Probably the best in the Northwest is Brad Hadman's Progressive Metalcraft in Tacoma. Probably no one better anywhere. But don't expect to have them give away their time/efforts. If ya need a reference for Brad, get ahold of Kenny Bernstein.
