Lightbulb anyone interested in a cheap Spohn Torque arm ?

The place that did my cage told me that he would make us torque arms if i could get 5-6 people together and gave him something to copy off of ...

he said the price would be around $400-$450 cdn for something like the spohn arm... of course i'll need a donor (*cough rickerby *cough) to lend him a torque arm for a few days so he could build a jig and start making the replicas ...

shaun: i will let u have my stock torque arm (i'll even RE and RE it for u) while ur torque arm is being copied (given that u agree to do this) .. think of it .. as a way to pay back to the comunity that has helped u in the past

so post here if u'd be interested .. im sure shaun can say how much his cost by the time it got here .. so u guys will know that $400 cdn is a steal of a deal...

if shaun didnt want to lend out his TA, i think mike S has one .. and since his car isnt on the road and i know where he lives i'll just go steal it (or he could graciously lend it to me for a few days)

craigo, u got one of these things too dont u ?

I am interested. I just did a quick look on another page and it looks like the toque arms are the same for M6 and A4 cars. Is that right? Also, would they be powdercoated or anything like that?

the spohn design has nothing to do with ur tranny .. thats the whole point .. it takes the load off the tailshaft as it bolts up to the body not the tranny

no powdercoating .. the paint job is upto urself ... we're all trying to stay on budget here i'll just slap a coat of red or black on it with a spray can

I finish school tomorrow, and I'm going to be making LCA's, torque arms, LCA brackets etc.... they will be complete with powdercoating and everything. I'll keep you guys posted.
So if anybody wants to lend me their components to make a jig let me know.

I would be interested as long as it includes a driveshaft loop. (like the Spohn)

Steven is right about these parts....unless you can find someone to custom CNC these pieces, 400.00 will not give you quality

Thats true, thats why you don't see me jumping on the deal, I doubt it'll be quality or even come close to looking as good, remember, i never trust local words, every shop that ever promised anyone anything is always been different, & what can you say in the end? You'll pay for it, they'll make the crap & you'll regret it. Thats how I see it.
