I see you have the vortech elbow where is your nozzle placed? Did you cut the divider out of the vortech elbow? Thanks

so i should let it stay rich?
F-bud: well, just be careful. What conditions (air temp, humidity, and barometric pressure) was the testing done under? If it was a cool, dry day with high barometer you will be fine making it leaner. If the conditions were less optimal, you can lean it out a little but not much. Keep this in mind: nitrous does not make power, fuel makes power. Nitrous just provides additional oxygen for combustion.

i left the divider in. i put the nozzle right after the MAF (about 2" from the end). i will get some pics.

montepace, would you mind listing to me what wires from the mallory box you connected to where? I'm desperately trying to figure out why the car won't run right when the HSR is not activated. It blows driving around with an automatic 1* of retard. I might call the mallory tech support as well. Thanks, Later. Brian

Couple of thoughts on it running rich (which will also make less HP)
What fuel pressure are you running? NX is calibrated for 43.5-45 psi, if you are running more it will be richer..
NX jets are made with a chamfer/venturi design, similar to a Holley jet, drilling them out will ruin the flow and mixing properties of the jet, and the number (31,35) does not equate to a drill size.
Their systems normally make more power than advertised.. my Shark nozzle with 100 hp jets makes closer to 120 hp.
That info was courtesy of John Stewart, who helped design this stuff, during one of our garage bench racing sessions.. he was a wealth of knowledge.

i am at stock fuel pressure, no changes. i have access to a machine shop, that is who will drill it for me. the numbers on the jets ARE thousands of an inch, i checked them (for instance 33 is 0.033", 52 is 0.052"). if i drill one of my jets it will be exactly like theirs is.

i bought the harness to connect the ignition to the coil and hooked it up per directions. then i ran my 12v wire to the battery (actually to the red block on the inner fender), and the ground to the ground post on the inner fender. thw HSR splices in with the power to the WOT switch from the arming switch, so that it is only active when the system is armed. i did not hook up the auxilary limiter or the window switch yet. i think that is all the wires, off the top of my head.

hmmm, I'm pretty sure that's what we tried the first time. I will need to go back and look over the schematics to find out for sure. I'll check back in later.

The reason i ask - is ALOT of people seem to post their clutch slippage (or torque converter flashes) peak on their torque curve as their final number

For example - I dyno'd 3 weeks ago:

360/360 on motor

450/475 on the spray.

However, on that N20 run, the dyno chart spikes to 589 ft lbs of torque.... but I do NOT count that as it is not real. (clutch slipped for a split second when the N20 was engaged....)

So I suppose if I wanted to say I dyno'd 450 hp / 589 ft lbs of torque I could - but whats the point when thats not the real number?

Just curious.
Sounds like you need to replace your ****ty clutch with a good one. BTW..500ft/lb of torque is not hard to get with spray. Maybe you need a better kit!
