IAT resistor to retard timing.

I would like to wire a switch into the IAT to retard the timing when I hit the juice. anyone know what resistor level would do this? I want to retard it not advance it, that I do with tunercat.

Supposedly there is no timing table connected with the IAT in these cars. I've asked. Everybody is in agreement. Only thing it'll do is richen up the mixture.

That is what I have gathered as well, there is no way to pull timing thru the IAT. If you want to pull timing on the spray though, there are options out there. PCM tuning for one, but unfortunately you would have timing pulled even off the spray. Another option is the Mallory 685 ignition box which has both a timing retard and window switch function and the timing will only be pulled when the nitrous is activiated. MSD also offers timing retard boxes as well.

I thought there was some suspicion that the mystery 3* of timing that shows up in addition to the timing table values was related to the IAT?

If that's the case, then there should be a table somewhere, no?

And if there is a table, then values should be able to be adjusted...

If this IS the case, then multiple degrees of timing can be added or subtracted with a simple resistor switch box with the change in table parameters.

Everyone, including yourself, has told me there is no such table.
