P0113 & p0305

P0113 & p0305
I have a 2000 Camaro 3.8L.
The other day I got on it a little more than I should have. Nothing crazy though. The very moment after that, she started riding rough, and when I get to 3rd gear, the check engine light comes on.
I ran a scan and pulled P0113
(Intake Air Temp. Circuit High Input) and P0305 (Misfire cylinder 5)
I just changed the IAT sensor, took it for a test drive, and it threw the same code, and still runs rough. Light still comes on when I get to 3rd gear.
I am at a loss, is there something I am missing, and is there something specific to this model year.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Take the harness connector off the IAT sensor, key on measure the voltage between the two pins in the harness connector. Should read 5V. You are looking for an open circuit. Since replacing the sensor didn't cure the code, you may have a faulty wire.
Before replacing the sensor, you should have tested it by measuring the resistance with a multi-meter. While shbox.com is basically an LT1 site, the "how to" section has a good procedure for testing temperature sensors and circuits.

Oh thanks. Your right I should have tested it first. But that's what I get for trying a quick fix. I will try that in the next couple days. A loose wire makes sense, since it happened after I got on it.

Re: P0113 & p0305
That's just addressing the IAT code. That should not be causing a misfire on #5.
Check the plug wire for #5, make sure the spark plug isn't loose or damaged. Check the injector by swapping the injectors for two cylinders and seeing if the code follows the injector. Ditto with the coil, swap two of them, and see if the misfire moves.
In any case, this is not an "exhaust" issue, so let's move this thread off the "Exhaust" forum, to one where you are more likely to get help.
