Exclamation fuel pump install???

how many people have done the trap door method when changing a fuel pump? how hard is it what does it include and does anyone know any good web sites showing it done. i am installing a walbro. 94 z28. is this a good idea or bad idea?

if you post this in lt1 tech it will get way more replies....I know the fuel system has alot to do with nitrous, but there are lots more members who look at the lt1tech section than here.

I did the trap door method. Very easy and fast. Took me all of about an hour before I had her fired back up. Yes do a search there are a couple good websites outlining exactly how to do it with pictures. Good luck.

Trap door method? Is this were you cut a hole in your tank? Anyone have a picture install tech?

trap door means cutting a hole in the floor right behind the rear seat. i did it on mine,and 3-4 friends have done it on thier fbodies. there are threads and pictures about this method in the LT1 tech section.

i didnt change it often,but i wasnt about to drop a 9" and take my borla apart and wrestle the tank out just to change fuel pumps.
