FPSS problem, keeps cuttin the system

i have the FPSS located right b4 the fuel noid, and i turned it down to the LOWEST pressure setting and it still cuts on and off soemtimes(set at 25psi). I bypassed the FPSS and the nitrous system runs smoothly with no cutting on/off, so i know where my problem is. I'm thinking since the FPSS is located close to the fuel noid, when the noid opens it notices the pressure drops and cuts the system for a millisecond or so until pressure builds again, and it keeps doing that. My question is where do u guys have your FPSS loacted??? thanks

i just read the other post about location of FPSS, most ppl have it set up like i do, and i still have problems. So, i say F@ck the FPSS, i bypassed it completely, i figure spraying 100 shots the chance of my fuel pump going WHILE i'm spraying is not very likely, actually, i never heard of that happening to anyone. More likely my fuel pump will go during normal driving, well i hope anyway. Oh well, less safe system, but it runs a hell of alot better, i'll take it, .

When you have the FPSS "cut off the system", are you closing the fuel solenoid and the nitrous solenoid as well? Try just closing the nitrous solenoid only. So the FPSS only controls whether the nitrous solenoid can open. That covers the on/off issue you're probably having.

Sounds like a probelm I might be having right off the line.. but I think I have it cutting off both the fuel and N20 I am going to bypass mine (255lph pump) and see what it does on a few runs..but I dont really think mine is an issue...I think its just me..

dave, you are right, i have it wired so it cuts out both fuel and nitrous at the same time. I am thinking that would solve my prob just to have the nitrous noid cut, but even if i do that there will be an initial cut of nitrous when i first hit it, so it won't be perfect. For right now i'm going to screw out the FPSS and screw in a electric fuel pressure guage sender there, i'm not going to bother with a FPSS. For 2 reasons, first it is a PAIN to rewire everything(i have it all covered in tubing and ziptied) and there will still probably be an initial hesitation when i first spray it because there will still be a initial pressure drop that will cause the nitrous noid to close. So, i've been warned, and if i grenade my motor, it's all my fault, . Happy spraying everyone............
