-6 Feed Line or Two Bottles
-6 Feed Line or Two Bottles
I am going to put my NX Kit back on the car to compliment the DP Fogger Setup I have. The DP Fogger is an NOS Sportsman jetted at about 250 to 270 with a stand alone fuel system. I was thinking of jetting this down to about 200 or 225 and using the NX Kit out of the whole on about 100 to 150 shot. As soon as the car hooks, I am going to set the controller to bring the fogger on (probably as soon as the car loads during the first 60'). Motor is all forged with head studs, 4-bolt mains, etc. The car currently runs 6.30's in the 1/8 with MT Radials.
My main question is. To flow a total of over 300HP of nitrous should I run two separate bottles with the regular -4 feed line or run 1 bottle with a -6 feed line and y-off to two -4 lines at all nitrous solenoids. The advantage of 1 bottle is one heater, one gauge, one bottle to change at a time.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Re: -6 Feed Line or Two Bottles
I'm the opposite of both posts above.
I have two bottles and two 4an lines. I wanted it so that I could run both systems indepentently. It does get expensive to have both systems though...lots of little things to add up.

Haha...Rain + 315 Nittos = Bad times
I had just spent 30 hrs stright trying to get the car ready for a dyno tune and was driving it 180 miles north to meet with the tuner. At my house it was clear but had rained the day before. I don't drive the car int he rain much to begin with, but I was somewhat forced trying to make the dyno appt.
I was crusing down a long flat stretch of freeway that wasn't currently raining very hard but must have been in an absolute downpoor. The road was still covered in water and when I drove over it at a steady 60mph, I hit a puddle and the back end kicked out. It had happened to lesser extents a couple of times, but that time it kicked really far toward a car in the other lane. When I corrected it, the car just kept swinging the other way. Before I knew it, the car did a donut or two.
It somewhat slowed down and then went off the side of the freeway. It slid through the dirt for about 40ft and then up an embancment. When it finally came to a stop, I just turned off the car and sat in the seat (cursing and yelling). When I got out to see what damage was done, I took the digital camera with me (that I had for the dyno day). I snaped those pictures and was pretty shocked to see how little damage there was.
I called AAA and asked for a flat bed because I was 100 miles from home and had no idea what the damage was like under the car. I was also "high sided" on the embancment with one wheel in a 3ft deep ditch, so I couldn't drive the car off its perch. It needed to be pulled down and dug out.
In the end there was no body or frame damage (except for some minor scratches). The only thing I destroyed was the exhaust, which the dyno showed was crappy and holding me back 30rwhp. So I swaped it and the car was fine.
