5176 fuel pump install questions...
I'm installing the inline fuel pump and NOS's pictures online are kind of flaky and I bought it used so no installation instructions.
Which side of the pump would push towards the motor? The large side (no fittings) or the angular side with the small hose?
I can already tell that the blue fitting takes the small hose and goes to the fuel filter but is this the side that goes towards the tank or motor?
Thanks!
Mike

You can call NOS and get a copy of the manual for $5 or $10, and its very good, as far as the fuel pump install. If you follow the instructions in the manual, the pump is mounted "horizontally", with the inlet to the left (drivers side) and the discharge to the right (passenger side).
Do you need the details of the parts required?
-You pull the inlet line off the fuel filter
- add the NOS PN 15538-S which converts the GM connection to a 1/2" hose barb.
-run a high quality/high pressure 1/2" gasoline rated hose to the inlet of the pump.
-run a similar type 3/8" hose from the discharge of the pump to the fuel filter inlet, using hose clamps to hold the hose on the filter.
-use double hose clamps on all clamp locations.
There were 2 different fuel pumps used with the NOS 5176.... The later kits use the PN 15763-S pump, which is what is described above.
The early ones had a Bosch pump NOS PN 15764. That is a killer pump. It included a 270-deg AN x barbed hose connector that made the discharge a little cleaner. That pump was mounted in the opposite direction, with the inlet on the right and discharge on the left. There is a pic of the 15764 install below.

Cool this is exactly what I needed to know!
I thought it would have to go to the inlet of the pump but wanted to verify. It's pretty easy to tell what can go to what due to hose size differences etc.

I found I have the 15764 - here's my install pics:

I have to flip the pump around and then I'll be set.

I still use the "old" NOS pump, but now it pulls directly off the tank, and is used in parallel with an identical pump in the tank. The in-tank pump supports the engine running N/A, and the ourboard pump comes on when I arm the nitrous system.
FUEL PUMP INSTALL
The lines are all braided and the filter is an SX billet unit.
