Please pray for my son
Steven had a good night. The cat scans showed the swelling is still going down slowly. There is still no infection. That was this AM after dr's came to see him. Judy said the dr's at the mid day check will move him from ICU to a reg room if he is doing ok. Thank god thing are looking better. I have to get ready to go so I will post again later. Thanks again to all.
Wow, I just got to this thread and my heart was pounding reading it. Glad things appear to be looking up for your son. If what they say about "That which doesn't kill us..." well, I just hope once you're through all of this you get some good luck to shine your way.
Keep truckin' Chris.
Keep truckin' Chris.
Glad to hear that your son is recovering, after starting to read this I almost did not want to finish for fear of reading something bad. I have an 11 yo son and 2 daughters so..... a little too close to home for me. How old is your son? Keep us up to date on his condition and try not to beat yourself up too much over this.

My God Chris. I'm so sorry this happened. I'm glad he's starting to come back. I can't even imagine how you must feel. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes, especially with what's been happening with my wife.
Hang in there friend, I'd like to think there is an ultimate purpose for this all.
peace...

I know that this is a little late but I'll be praying for both of you here on out. I don't know you but just from the posts I read of yours I know you are a real nice guy, and you shouldn't have to deal with all of this stuff. At least things are looking up for your son, and I think everything will turn out O.K. for you too.
Steven is doing about the same. They did move him out of ICU to the next level down. They tried to get him to walk today but his legs just buckled. This looks like it will take some time.
Steven is doing a little better. They said he may get to come home soon. He will have to stay in bed for two weeks. Then go back and get a cat scan. If the cat scan is ok then they will start the rehab. Thanks again to everyone.
