Chris, I don't know you like some of the people here on the board. But that will not stop me from putting your son and you in my family's prayers.

I can understand how you feel about your son, as any father should. Remember you did nothing to deserve this. Everything has a reason. But not because you did anything.

God help me if anything happens to my son. They'd probably have to throw me into an mental hospital.

Keep up your spirits. He needs you to.

God bless your son and also you.

Joe

Chris you know you and your family are in my prayers.
I hope your son is ok, you're one of the nicest people I know and it breaks my heart knowing what has happened to you.

Thanks to everyone for there prayers. The swelling of his brain stopped and he was awake for about a hour today. The next few days will tell the story. If the swelling goes down he will have a good chance of being ok. The doctors said the bleeding was on the outside edge of the brain between the brain and the skull. This is good because if it is the inside of the brain then they have no choice but to open his head up. Also it is a cracked skull and the bones didn't shift so there are no sharp edges or compression of the bone on the brain. The little guy is taking it well. He will wake up for 15 or 30 seconds and say am I dreaming or is this real and then pass back out. Once he stayed awake for about a 1/2 hour but was very sleepy. His speech is very slured and he is confused. I just pray they can get the swelling down so he will be ok.
I have to get some sleep as I have been awake since yesterday morning. I will post more tomorrow. Please keep praying for him.

Your friend
Chris Ja

Thumbs up

Steven had a better day today. He was awake for longer periods of time. The dr'd did a cat scan at about 5:00pm today and said the swelling has started to go down. He is still in ICU but looks like he will make it. He is very weak on his right side of the body. I can live with that if we have to. Iam just glad he is going to live.
Thanks again for all who prayed for him. I will post more later.

I'm glad to hear things are heading the right direction now. He comes from tough stock and he's got one hell of fighter as his roll model. Even so, Superman is rumored to need rest on occassion so don't hesitate to ask us if there is anything we can do to help while you and the family are concentrating on Steven's recovery.
