Anyone for a MODFEST???
Anyone for a MODFEST???
Since the weather seems to be on the verge of breaking, it'll be warm enough to start wrenching on the car again. (I'm spoiled at work, its heated, thus I've become accostomed to being able to feel my fingers while working on a car
)
I'm trying to get an LS1/T56 into the GTA. The motor/trans is in, I just need a lot of help with some of the 'little' things. Here's a (mostly complete) list of what needs to be done still in no particular order.
-enlarge hole for shifter
-get some sort of boot for newly enlarged shifter hole
-get a M/T top plate for the center console
-run wiring for the new OBD II connector
-finish wiring harness (waiting on pcm mounting bracket currently in the works)
-finish mounting up the clutch/brake pedal and Clutch master cylinder
-get the radiator sorted (use stock 3rd gen one, or get new 4th gen one??)
-figure out induction tubing
-fix HVAC vacuum lines (they hiss)
-fix wiper motor that got tagged by the engine the last time it went into the car
-run wiring for the '99+ fuel tank (even got the 4th gen bulkhead pass-through)
-install yet to be bought replacement foglights (old ones are all rusty, won't light up)
-connect the torque arm to trans
-put fluid in trans
-change the oil (if there is any)
-custom exhaust will be done at a later time, he knows who he is, hopefully the pcm tuning shortly thereafter
I know there's probably more that I'm forgetting, some of the above stuff is real easy, some not so easy, but its a huge pile of stuff that been intimidating me to no end. Having a few (or a bunch of) guys over that can do this sort of stuff would be a huge help, obviously food (Pizza Hut if you prefer, I know one of the managers there) and drink will be provided.
Is anyone available this or next weekend? I realize it's late notice for this weekend, but if you have it open, all the better. Looks like mid to high 40s though
