My car needs a tune, but the problem is none of the shops with a dyno I've found can burn PROMs. I'm not in a huge hurry since winter is coming but I'd like to have it tuned by spring. I need a place not too far from me but I'd travel to NJ, NE PA, CT, and probably MA.

 

Not many shops still do PROM tuning (if they ever did in the first place). I know the guys at http://speeddensity.org/ set up dyno days sometimes with reputable tuners that can handle your car. May want to poke your head in there and see what they have to say.

I'm starting to wonder, is it easier in the long run to buy an aftermarket computer? I'm starting to think I'll never find someone in the area that can handle this.

 

too bad you weren't in ohio, we have 3 or 4 shops that do it here in NE ohio alone
