Noise from Clutch/Transmission

Noise from Clutch/Transmission
So I will try to explain this as best as possible. Mostly from a stop when I engage the clutch (mostly for a slow and smooth start, not a hard go) there is a slight grinding/rubbing sound coming from the trans/clutch area. It last for the period of engaging the clutch and maybe a second afterward.
Sometime this will happen is second gear also in situations where I was slowing down to stop but then started to go again and I engage the clutch while in second and accelerate.
No problems in any other gears but I don't start in any other gear. I will note that the quicker the launch the noise duration is shorter or non-existent.
Is this the clutch or am I losing my first and second gear?
I will also note that I don't feel any slipping from the clutch or any type of burning smells.
I have a 97 1LE Z28 with 6MT (if the talk about the clutch wasn't clear what trans I have).
