For you people who want/need an LT4 Intake Manifold

I just got off the phone with a parts vendor (not to be named) who aparrently had a few left, but they're out now. What I'm posting this for is the following:

I was informed by this vendor that Edlebrock is in the final stages of beginning production of their own LT4 based intake manifold. Supposedly it's going to be available in 1-2 months. If I find out anything more I'll post it up.

Someone posted a link to an eBay acution for a "real" LT4 intake, Grand Sport Throttle body, fuel rails and 28# injectors, fuel pressure regulator, and PCV valve, all brand new/unused. At the point I saw it, it had been bid up over $1,500 !!!!!!!!

Supply and demand. I'm not surprised. I'm closely watching one right now that's brand new and I'm very determined to own it. Gonna pay dearly for it unfortunately. Although if it hits the point of the above mentioned one, I may just hold out until this rumored edlebrock piece comes out. Maybe my car can be used as a test bed for it!

Man, I found a GMPP unit on ebay upto 900+ and still a day to go. Why are people paying such a rediculous price? I thought they were available in summit for like $250. If you are trying to build power, spend a little more and get a converted single plane.

I've seen some rediculous prices on LT4 intakes lately. Did GM quit producing these intakes for their Performance Parts sales?

They were discontinued several months ago. Retailers started running out a couple months ago. Pretty much all gone now.

Re: For you people who want/need an LT4 Intake Manifold

Edelbrock was supposed to have an LT1 intake and heads YEARS before even the heads were released. MAYBE the lack of an alternative at this point will encourage them to actually finish a production piece BUT I wouldn't hold my breath. My opinion is that if people weren't such idiots and believed they needed this with stock heads and believed it was such a wonderful thing then there would be plenty left for those people who can actually make use of it.

Besides the color how do you know for sure if it's a LT4 intake manifold?

Isn't part number 12550631 the GMPP manifold?? I thought the 0630 was the production motor manifold. Just looking for clarification, that's all.

Could be.... that number is from the table showing the differences between the LT1 and LT4 production parts.
