For you people who want/need an LT4 Intake Manifold
If someone made an intake that was composite plastic and had longer runners, I would buy it in a heartbeat for $500-$700. Of course, FAST makes LS1 intakes.
Re: For you people who want/need an LT4 Intake Manifold
I think if you get really quiet and still and listen closely enough, you can hear that Edelbrock intake whispering:
"Mount me on a 15 degree base and I'll be your best friend."

The Edelbrock intake was listed as for sale a decade ago in Summit then never released. The MSD cap and rotor they were taking orders on for over a year before they began shipping, and currently I have a Summit catalog on the desk here next too me that lists both the Accel whole opti and MSD whole opti but when you go to the website there is no avaialble date for the Accell and the MSD ship date has been repeatedly pushed back and is now in May, though it was initially much earlier like I think a date we have passed already.
LOGIC would dictate they not print catalogs and such with the item till it is actually available but that is not what they do.

you mean the LT4 intakes? lots of aftermarket perf heads(AFR for sure) have LT4 ports
Re: For you people who want/need an LT4 Intake Manifold
This seems great. However, I have been leary of swapping over to the lt4 system for quite some time. I just dont see the significant gains in HP/track numbers for me to do so. I am running LE2 Heads with the GM847 cam. It is putting me in the 11's and around 418rwhp. Can someone let me in on what they are running as far as times/hp numbers with their LT4 setup and heads N/A.
Maybe this is just more of a push for the Forced Induction guys?

Re: For you people who want/need an LT4 Intake Manifold
The new edelbrock lt1/lt4 intake is diffferent than the one they tried to make years ago. Back then they tried to make some sort of extended runners inside the plenum. There were lots of rumors of vapor lock from the intake from people who used it, so it never really caught on. Will this one be any better? Who knows. We'll have to wait and see.

We dealth with this with marine engines at my last work. Fuel go hot and vapor lock occured in the fuel system before the injector. ONly fuel system related. With that said, I dont see how an intake manifold swap could affect this.
Re: For you people who want/need an LT4 Intake Manifold
As a fix until this intake comes out, you can just weld up a stock LT1 intake to seal on the LT4/TFS/AFR heads. Pretty much any alu welder can handle this and then mill the sides back flat. I charge $200 to do this and have done a few of them in the last 2 weeks.
You would want it ported too but even with no portwork, the welded up LT1 intake will flow just as well as an LT4 intake and maybe better if you start with the right LT1 intake. They are all equal after portwork though.
