wierd problem with fuel pump/relay maybe?

so, went to start my car the other day, and it cranked, but didn't hit a lick. Put some carb cleaner in the intake, it started, and I drove it the rest of the day. Shut it down and started it a few more times no problem too. But then, the same thing happened yesterday, and the same thing has happened today? I don't understand what could be the problem?

I just recently put in a fuel pump relay because the old one was bad, but obviously the new one works, it hasn't died or anyting on me, just won't start w/o carb cleaner if it sits for like 8 hours or more.

anyone ever heard of this?

I would get a fuel pressure gauge to diagnose the health of your fuel system if you suspect it is fuel-related.

Usually in your case if it only happens when it sits for a while then you might have a slow fuel leak and you should invest in a fuel guage cause its a good investment if you dont already have one. Also a fuel filter usually will cause a rough start and hesitation under load due to not enough fuel getting past the filter fast enough. This is an easy fix and should be done a couple times a year. I waited about a year and a half one time and my car suddenly started gasping for fuel and was running slow and rough i changed out the filter and sludge just poured out. After that the car ran good. Just make sure that you look for and codes or lights on the dash when first starting it or maybe even a few miles down the road because the car might even gbe telling you whats wrong.
