Lt1 question

I have a 93' z28 with a blown connection rod. I have decided to buy a short block from Eagle Specialty Products. The question I was wondering is if eagle is a good company and if my engine will have a 1 piece rear main seal and if the engine is a 2 bolt block. thanks.

Eagle is a good company from previous experiences and the block you get can be ordered however you want it, 1 piece-2piece and 2 or 4 bolt main.

Hey man if your core is rebuildable then its possible to do it alot cheaper than fifteen hundred Carolina machines engines online does the lt1 short block for seven hundred dollars look them up online. Also whether you get a four bolt block or a two bolt block either one will fit just as good as the other. Just make sure the short block is for the specific years of 1992-1997 and not the older 350 block due to different piston wieghts, stonger rods powder metal, and a differently balanced crankshaft which is balanced from the rear externally due to a weight on the flexplate and internally in the front which the older generation is not. As long as you have all of your old sensors and accessories then just put them on how you took them off. The block never changed just the accessories on the block though the years of 1992-1997. Let me know if you have any questions on this and ill get back to you good luck looking. Also if you have higher horsepower needs then you should check into cpe engines which they have a web address on this camaroz28 website as one of the vendors. They sell shortblocks capable of holding 500 hp for about 2000.
