Did I miss something here? Seems like this is so much less brain damage.

BTW where are the center holes in this manifold?

I've wondered that too. Too bad Edelbrock wont drill them with the Lt1 bolt pattern...

I have the Victor EFI manifold. Car just put down 522 rwhp N/A with more tuning to be done. That is with an engine setup to run nitrous.

SuperVic is a better manifold than the VicE maniford the VicEFI is based on, especially in the 3500-7000 rpm range. If you saw them side-by-side you would see the differences.

AFR 227 LT4's bare castings ported, polished, and flowed by PortPros.

Re: Why are guys converting a Super Victor? When this is out?

David,

The reason I professionally don't like that casting over others is for a few reasons.

I got one in when I did a conversion for a customer:

The intake was heavy by about 10lbs.
It had no good way to produce a transition from the carb flange to the runners.
The lack of a divider wall extending into the plenum was bad for midrange TQ
The runner shape and length wasn't as optimum
The size of the ports was intended for use with smaller super stock ports, rather than the stuff you would see on high output strokers.

That intake went back and a Super Vic was converted and ported in it's place. Ended up going 8's so I think it worked out ok.
