I've e-mailed MSD directly about this. All I can tell you is, they don't care about us LT1 guys. Yea, I'd buy one if it were available, though.

Well I am about to install the 3rd Optispark on my 94Z (252,000 miles). Geez I hate that piece of crap!
First one at 100,000 miles,
Second one at 2000,000 miles,
Third one at 225,000 miles.
Now the fourth at 250,000 miles.
Hasn't there been a recall on this OptiSpark?
Before I do this replacement again, has anybody come up with a reliable replacment. I already replaced the cam shaft once and I am not willing to do it again to upgrade to the vented design.

I would be seriously interested in an MSD distributor replacement for Optispark. If it elimitated all the problems the optispark is notorious for, I would pay $450 no sweat. I'd pay more.

Is this thread gonna die or what?
No MSD dist. for us poor ol' LT1 folks.... your choice- oem, ltcc, dynaspark, or a new ecm.

This doesn't look to be going anywhere and several months ago it was determined that MSD wasn't building one.
