i've been wanting to do a setup like the LS1's but to me it seems like too much of a hassle!
if they can come up with an alternative to the opti i'd definately consider it, even more so if it was a coil on cylinder design!!

I would buy one if it lasted longer than stock, just so i wouldn't have to worry about it all the time. In 4 yrs i have already bought two optisparks for my car.

If it matters i have a buddy with two impala ss's that would also be interested.

Smile MSD replacement for opti-junk

Absolutely, count me in I don't really see what the gains would be besides having the relief of being able to leave our LT1's out in the rain without worrying about the distributor getting soaked hey wait that's all i need!
Hurst A4 shifter for fourth gens? Count me in for that too!
Ha, anyone heard of the LTCC utilising (damn it that words misspelled) LS1 coils and plug wires from a late model f-car it was in the special october issue of GMHTP mag i think it's available at www.bailey-eng.com anyway you would need to find a way to mount the coils. Who was it back in '97 or '98 that made a shifter for the A4 f-cars w/LT1 power. I'm pretty sure it was B+M anyway i'm not sure weather they just abandoned it all together or what! I wonder if they ran into defects or what not!? But i remember seeing it in a catalog and trying to order it.

MSD is still dragging their feet. I haven't heard anything since the last update. I will check in on them this month to see if any progress has been made. Thanks for keeping this thread alive.

I know MSD will come up with something good. I like the HEI conversion idea but its not that easy to access the distributor under the cowl. I have faith in MSD to come up with something good to ditch that opti.
